Favorite Games Anyone Anyone?

We received some new games for Christmas. We love our new DVD Disney Bingo game that calls out the numbers and letters for you. It also has pictures for the young ones to help them along. :) We hate the MOUSETRAP game with all those nasty pieces and it is not much fun. I bought it at Fred Meyer's buy one, get one free, so I decided it was my free one. Sadie chewed on the main wheels that make it go, so now it is going on our burn pile. :) --10 days after Christmas. Don't waste your $money.
We are trying to incorporate a family game night weekly or every other week.
Any other games folks received for Christmas you could recommend? We don't have the $funds now, but how about the wii or Playstations? Anyone have any games they really like on those that are 5 year old friendly?

How fun!
The wii is great and super active but the boys may have to be older... some of the "basic" games are hard! We stayed up till midnight playing Monopoly Jr. on New Year's Eve with our foster kiddo. Who knew games could be so fun. :)

matching games are fun, like Memory, or Cranium makes a game called Matching Madness that I've played with my friend's 4 and 8 year olds. Actually Cranium has a whole line of kids games I think. I've loved every one of their games that I've played, although I've only played the matching madness in the kids line. I have that one, so I can bring it when we get together so we can play it.

Oh, another one we used to play at the daycare that the kids loved is called Guess Who. They also liked Jenga.

If I think of any others, I'll let you know...I also have my friend that owns a daycare thinking of some for you.

We love the Wii!! And there are some games the girls can do. Also our girls love Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders. (Games I played as a child.) Also memory. I bought some buy one get ones too but decided to hold off and give them to them for Valentines. The ones that have the Toy of The year sticker are supposed to be really good.

If you can find the cranium game "Balloon Lagoon" my kids love that one and so do we. Dominos is fun and you can get picture ones, or color coded ones to help with counting. There is a game called "The Honeybee game" that is a bit along the lines of pick up sticks. Very simple to play but does require a little prep. When they can read come and ask me again, we got a great game for Emma for Christmas called "Whunu" that is really fun. We love the Disney DVD bingo. We also got the wii for Christmas and I agree with the earlier comment that you could wait a bit on that. Kaden is 5 also and likes it but loses interest after a short time. He is also not quite coordinated enough for the basic games. I will keep checking for people's comments because I like a good game too. Hopscotch toys is always a good place to go once you have some funds! See you at Mom's group!
