Ian turns Eight 8

Ian turns 8 December 19th.  He is a great child full of life and love.  He enjoys legos, skateboarding, biking and about any outdoor activity.  He is into pirates and weapons.  He loves people and having fun.  He enjoys his friends at school, cousins and family.  He loves to sport a mohawk haircut and keep active.  We are so lucky to have our baby and often refer to him as the best Christmas gift that God ever gave to us.  He is a joy in our lives.   
Happy Birthday Ian Robert Cooper!!!!  We love you.

Christmas ships on the yacht 2011

Our family was generously invited by one of Gary's clients to watch the Columbia river Christmas ships from their yacht one evening in December. Most of the pictures did not turn out so well but we have a few to remember the time on it. The boys love and are attracted to water so I was nervous for that but also manners, etc. The couple was gracious with other members of their family and friends invited to make up 8 children. The boys learned as much as they could about how to drive it and ended up in the engine room beneath the boat to complete the tour. The evening was very cold , but there was dinner, special drinks and warm hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles. It will be an event to treasure and we are so thankful. Merry Christmas!

Do I look like I did as a baby?

Auntie Darlene spent the night and we had fun with mustaches! We all wanted to be like daddy :) I really like it when my honey has a mustache and so the kids got fake ones at Safari Sams. It was supposed to be our 2011 Christmas card but I couldn't find the photo in time :( Love my family.....

Jared with his favorite Aunt!

Jared graduated from YC High School in June 2011. He LOVES hunting and fishing. He plans to attend Blue Mountain College in Pendleton this fall. He will be the first of the Myrick boys to move away from home. :) He is Danelle & Brian's middle son. He will be missed and we hope he visits us often. He has a great sense of humor and likes to laugh alot! Love this kid.

Grant's Zoo Day

Gary and I took the day off to ride Max with the YCES 2nd graders to the Oregon Zoo. Grant was thrilled to take us and show us the exhibits. The highlight of the trip was the birds. 2nd graders study birds and LOVE to talk about them. It is great to see their appreciation of knowledge they acquire. If you know me, my least favorite animal is birds. I was frightened by them when I was a kid and they creep me out. I went with the group and didn't panic too much.

My favorite animal is the hippo. It is rare that we have seen them out of the water. :) It was a very fun day with Grant and his classmates.
